Busy life

When your sick for about a week with high temperature, passed out and cut your chin and lips, do surgery on wisdom teeth extraction, you'd wish life would quickly have a turn around. My turn around came almost as soon as i felt better!

With the second presentation nearing the corner, our massive 15 men team was simply too big to co-ordinate everything together. Hence we decided on a BBQ gathering, at the same time, discuss the poster and presentation.

Sadly, the discussion took up barely of the time, and most of the time went to the BBQ and enjoying each another's company. SO, who ended up doing the poster and presentation? Eva and I lor... With only 3hrs, we managed to come up with a poster and a presentation. Pretty powerful stuff i reckon. Normally i would prefer to prepare my script 2-3 days before hand, then memorize everything before i do a presentation. However, I didnt have enough time this time around. The team needed some extra "firepower" to boost the previous presentation attempt, which was not bad but aint exactly good. Therefore they equated "firepower" to Eva n I...

oh well... all went well tho, we both blasted out our facts and tried to humor the audience abit... **it was super hot standing at the front and trust me when i say it wasnt due to nervous feelings**

The main people who did the BBQ, Sam and myself... haha... with Rongzan playing around with the charcoal and hotdogs...

My "spartan" look... had to try it out... but the lid was quite heavy and took quite a toll on my forearms... still looked "cool" tho... :P
The ladies of my group...
My usual gang... powerful, smart, rich but lazy ppl... hahaha

This pic is abit extra... we took it after we went to the flea market at clarke quay! Wanted to act cute so puffed up our faces... hmm... i think by the time the shot was taken, some air escaped from my mouth alrdy... so abit not fair... But she's cute huh? =P

A week of news...

Yes yes... i know, its been ages since i updated my blog entries! But have been pretty busy with school stuff due to a poster presentation which was only given a week to complete and a group size of 7 members! Almost impossible to co-ordinate! So a picture says a thousand words... i've decided for this entry to post more pictures and write less words... haha... perhaps its almost 1am in the morning, having difficulties sleeping, but super tired... it equates to pure laziness? A thought to consider...

Our poster... colorful right? Haha... design was by me, color coordination was by Eva, cutting our paper was Eva's compliment. While i did pretty much everything else **that's cause, had to read and summarize almost all the articles** -.-"

I would like though, on behalf of our group (I seem to have become a dictator and overtaken the leadership role from Alvin, the other guy holding the poster... haha... i actually called alot of the shots this time around... cool) thank and convey our appreciation and to Eva... although she was the latest inclusion into Team Council Elite (our group name, i came up with that as well) she has done so much more than any of us, ultimately her efforts enabled us to complete the poster and presentation on time. Special thanks to her boss also from NTU, Professor Featherstone, for helping us print the colored pictures, to enhance the poster.

Either how, our group... although mostly are A students, they can be quite lazy man... haha! Nevertheless, another good group photo shot!

My eyes itchy, still must candid shot me... horrible friends *only in that aspect, otherwise, they are all fantastic buddies*

But lets start from the weekend, while its still fresh in my mind! Sunday, a super rush day doing the poster, presentation, sourcing for information for our poster presentation. Luckily I had a partner who's willing to pop over to help me the whole way... *thanks Eva ;)* Seriously, without her efforts and hardwork, we would not have been able to complete the assignment. Despite the effort we put into the poster (in my opinion 90% of the work was done by us), we had to enjoy abit as well! Nothing too fancy, but we made pizza at home! Went down to the NTUC to get the ingredients and toppings we needed... kinda cool since I never do my own groccery shopping, but it was even better that it was with Eva, kinda simulates what marriage life is gonna be like in the future... hubby holding basket or pushing trolley, while wife picks away at the fruits and veggies!

** Left pizza Eva's, right is mine**

Our pizza base was obiously pre-made, but that's cause we knew we didnt have time to make it fresh from dough! The capsicum, tomato, ham, were fresh, the others, black olives, cheese, base, even the sauce arent fresh... haha... nvm, long long time eat alil bit of preservatives aint gonna kill youo

Before the pizza went into the oven, it looked like this, all raw but edible even if i told u so, you wouldnt eat the uncooked pizza... haha

Freshly out of the oven... gorgeous pizza, just like the one who made and design it.... and this aint my pizza btw, mine was stuffed with too much ingredients and toppings that it was too heavy for the base, but still, it gathered its' own nickname... "pizza gao gao" haha translate to "pizza thick thick".

** My champion pizza maker**

It was fun and all, not too messy, enjoyed it so much! Hopefully we're gonna try sum other new stuff... cooking can be so fun when there's sum1 around to help you!

PS. Just when I was about to publish the post... lil sis came home... called me to open the door for her cause she didnt bring the house key... and yeah... donuts! Woohoo... might try sneak one out from the almighty box and eat it for supper... haha... yum yum!

Finally! Attack of the new shades!

Hahaha... can't stop laughing and smiling just at the thought of my new shades! Oakley Flak Jacket Armstrong limited edition!

SO wat's so special about this pair of shade? Not only is it limited edition, but the fact that it actually suitable for my coaching with new techonology lenses (have no idea about lenses, just rephrasing what the website said). Bottomline, it looks good... so who cares huh?
Crazy weekend coming ahead, presentation next wednesday that needs to be done by monday! Although it aint worth anything in terms of assessment, but don't know why part of me still want to give it a good shot for the gold. Besides, presentation is kinda my forte... hahaha...
Gotta go research my Alzheimer's disease...
Kangen bangettt... xxx =P

What to do? How to do? When to do?

Yeah, semester's break is over, in a blink of an eye *again*. The new timetable is just so horrible though, consisting of weeks of new modules of biochemistry, pathology and pharmacology! That's still not so bad, but after scanning through the timetable, I realized that classes ran mostly 4-5 times a week! For 2 or 3 weeks, it actually ran on SAT! Oh man... i was totally mortified, thinking that if classes ran from 2-6pm on sat, that means I cant teach my fav students who have their lessons scheduled at 2pm with me!

Argghhh***

That's one of my main concern!

Secondly, if classes ran for 4-5 times a week, that means i will not be able to coach my night lessons anymore, which means, more lessons cancelled! Oh man, another crisis, with Augustina's kids, whom I find (Tristian) the older boy, has much talent in swimming but has yet to undergo any formal training to develop that talent. He is good, I admit, but hes quite lazy. No problems with that though, just make him swim at the deep training pool, see how he's going to stand on his feet to walk and be lazy! Haha... of coz that also means Ive either got to swim next to him or walk along the side (like most other coaches do). Lucky for him, I am the type of instructor who will swim with you to spur you on with your remaining laps!

What am I going to do? The night lessons are really giving me a headache man... just thinking of how to negotiate with the parents or students are tough enough especially those who have just signed up with me... Crisis...

What do you guys think? What should I do? How should I do it?

Photos from the afternoon after exam!

Yup... abit late on posting these photos, but hey, the camera owner was laxing in sending them out! So cant blame us for not being to post the pictures sooner. Haha...

*jkjk wilson! =P ur still a great pal*

Yeah just to recap, after the final exam of last semester *medical microbiology* our usual gang, of wilson, sam, tammie, selin, yanlin, hana, kok boon *plus a couple of new inclusions, xin yi n Eva* went to saki sushi for some well deserved buffet! Jap buffet where d sashimi was freeflow aint exactly the right way to do business for the restaurant when it comes to a bunch of young adults like us! Believe me when i say we whacked more sashimi than perhaps 10 other tables around us! hahaha... Plus all the other plates of sushi, we were filled to the top of our oesophagus... barely able to breathe, but it was satisfying, that's all it matters!

It was a blistering hot day... poor thing for Tammie and I... who were both wearing long sleeves shirt... *luckily we both wore shorts, kinda glad we did* haha... we took a slow stroll down to the end of orchard rd... to Mind's cafe @ selegie rd for our mid afternoon entertainment! Although a couple of the members had to leave due to other personal commitments, we still hav 10 odd strength to have a few good games running.

*Further inclusion at Mind's cafe was Mandy, Eva's best friend, who is ever so social with people like us whom she's meeting for the first time ~ appreciate it Mandy*
Mind's was as usual, crazy but fun... wouldnt elaborate on the silly games we played but it was more about the company bonding that was worth the time and trip. These bunch of guys are truly the best friends one can ever make... supportive, fun, big appetite... etc... u name it, dey hav it! *not to mention looks n brains... woohoo*

How can a night end without a couple of these...

Yeah, gotta add a couple of these as well... dinner at superdog... didnt know there was a fast food chain that specialized in hotdogs! The fries was unique as well, beef toping with cheese... very tasty and addictive... Who to thank for bringing me to these places?

The one and only... Eva! Hahaha...

Why Do Fashion Shops Design Shirts like these?

Lunch was so good today! Hanging out with Sue and the kids at Swensen then heading down to Haegen Daz for desserts... MmMmmm... beautiful!

Those 2 boys are so cute, not to mention hyper active! Even when FJ was suffering from a lil stomach problem, which was resolved almost instantly by Sue, the most perfect nurse cum housewife (20 billion of lacto bacillus in jus 3mins) haha...

The way I see them down their ice creams really brings about childhood memories, my days of fat proportions! haha...

FC was like super hungry, he even ate FJ's leftover portion... haha... better work off the extra calories on sat my young padewan... haha

YESS... talk about TOPMAN's ever so illusturious designs of shirts and tops, its one of the fashion outlets whose designs are so unique and "ugly" that we actually use it to joke around! Talk about the price as well, shirts like the ones below are costing about $70-$80, and trust me the material aint super good or thick like those Ralph Lauren type. Hmm... nevertheless, Ive "modelled" out the worst looking shirt so far seen in my life, thank god we didnt take any pictures of it *pink leopard print shirt*. Nevertheless, these 2 below can join the ranks of "ugly" and "funny" looking designs.

One must be thinking, who would actually wear these shirts out right? Yeah, dats very true, infact must be even thinking why am I wearing it? What can i say? Im the type of person who rarely backs out of a dare, and always up for a good laugh or give people a good laugh! Perhaps only one person could ever make me wear such stuff...

Check it out... its horrible!!!

Exercise is important!

I thought something was not right when I saw Harri come home around 1215 in the afternoon when her planner stated she finished classes at 330. She just barged into my domain and said she wanted to run! Haha... exercise was like never on her agenda this whole year and suddenly she wanted to run? Another Forest Gump resemblence huh? But anyway we went for a quick run, a supposingly 10min run became 30mins... not because we stopped alot on the way, we were oso interrupted by some china lady and her son. They apparently saw some guy taking a leak out in public and were afraid he'd try something funny with them, hence asked us to stopped our run and watch over them while they crossed over to the other side of Bishan Park! Quite stupid, but we actually waited... -.-"

A short 2km run and look at this... so tired looking... haha... But must give her credit for being able to hide most of the tiredness and post...

Harri should go swimming with dee and me more often, build up stamina and fitness!

For the don't know how many times, I saw Dee on the bus again... this time it was after gym, I saw her on the 851 coming from Bugis! I mean what are the chances huh? So many buses so many different timings... yet still can see her! 74, 88, 851, what's next? Haha... best still, she was engaging in some serious life story telling session about her ex-bf, Kelvin, relating her experience to her friend! Quite cute though, cause shes only 17 yet she has such a story to share with others. Kids these days are starting out younger and younger... Can remember when I was 17, in college, then had to quit to serve my NS...

Many years ago now... history! LOL sounds old huh?

Is it a crime to care and worry for someone too much? I may tend to do abit of that when I start getting close to someone. Hmm... just that I don't like it when my friends, girlfriend etc get all stressed up, or even upset! Will always do my best to be there for them. Of COZ there are exceptions for those who are immensely close to me as well... call it "special care" but hey! We're all humans, gotta be selfish sometimes... :P

Beautiful evening, with beautiful company!

Before I get to the evening event, I would like to stress a very important point to all! Swimming is a leisurely and fun sporting activity that should be enjoyed by all especially on a hot, sunny day! However, Ive got a couple of these "Commando" parents who fail to realize this very important fact and want to create national swimmers out of their kids! How was the weather yesterday? Storming pretty much the whole day right? Yup, tried to cancel a lesson in the afternoon, but NOOOOO... the parent insisted I came over to their condo and continue with lesson! I went over out of respect, explained patiently that there is lightning risk and that its very cold in the water for the child! Nevertheless, it fell to deaf ears! Quite disgusted to see, that even after i declared a "No Swim" status... the parent continued to "command" her kid to swim laps! What am I expected to do? Sit in the shelter and watch? OF COZ NOT! I jumped in and swam with the poor child (who's only 7 btw)! Trust me when I say the water is cold, especially when the winds were so strong and the icy cold rain fell hard on ur face and head! Coming from a country with 4 seasons, if I say its cold, its really cold... Thank GOD so much for the evening however! Had a wonderful buffet dinner at Market Plaza Cafe down at Raffles hotel! Imagine, good food, (unlimited super fresh sashimi, lobster, giant prawns, chocolate fondue, cakes that appears in all sorts of colors n tastes... drool*), loving n caring company that I'm every so lucky to have with me!

Sometimes, even if you get to eat the most expensive and exquisite cuisine in the world, without the perfect company, it still gonna taste as good! Last night's experience was the total opposite of that... looking forward to the next one ;)
Its so nice to see the smiles and giggles "Eeee... wats that brown brown de, *puts abit into mouth to taste*... MMmMMMmm... chocolate with lil chocolate bisucits!!!" Super adorable

My lil xiao gong nui... cum xiao gong zhu~~ haha

NEW CHAPTER --> Return of the swimming instructor!

Geez... 2 months already? That was the last entry dated and till date dat i remember even putting in effort posting!

Haha... time passes real fast when life is full of work, studies and friends! Nevertheless, gonna try make the effort to at least post once every three days!

Torturing (physically) but enjoyable (see progress in the kids) Sat! Taught 9 lessons from 8am in the morning until the setting of the sun! Its a new personal record definitely and something i can be proud of! Haha, but if possible, will try to avoid as much as i can, irregardless of how much i can make within that 9hrs of lessons!

Still, my favourite students brightened up my Sat especially when Fang Chuang managed to tread water for a relatively long time, yet still could tie up the knot for his pjs! First time all by himself as well! *This is what i call, great determination, the killer eye for success* Jit made good progress as well, managing to swim almost a complete lap without stopping! Must be some secret training hence the extra power with the kicks and pulls... nice one mate ;)! Poor Sue, her hair color is starting to fade despite the amount of effort invested in trying to prevent the eventual fade! Oh well, probably use that as an excuse to visit the hair salon more often!

On a more personal side, things are looking upon the brighter side. With the making of new friends and stuff. Especially... yeah... haha... super private stuff dat cant be mentioned, otherwise heads might roll, and punches n kicks exchanged! haha...

Tomorrow night, dinner at in town @ Market Place Cafe! Sooo looking forward towards it! Wish I could write all about it here, but its almost impossible!
